From a small community gathering to a nationwide social infrastructure — here's how GIRR grew.
GIRR was founded with a simple mission: help foreigners feel at home in Korea. Our first small gathering brought together 30 people from 10 different countries.
GIRR joined its first government-supported MICE forum, connecting foreign residents with Korean communities at a policy level.
Launched our flagship Local Tour series — taking foreign residents on curated journeys across Korea's cultural heartlands, from Gimje rice fields to Gyeongju heritage sites.
GIRR community surpassed 1,000 members from 30+ countries. Launched the first multi-city events in Seoul, Busan, and Daegu.
GIRR received recognition from the Ministry of Justice for outstanding contributions to the foreign resident community. Hosted the first major GIRR Award Ceremony.
GIRR expanded beyond Korea, co-organizing events in Tokyo, Singapore, and Paris — establishing itself as a truly international platform for innovation and community.
GIRR reaches 5,000+ cumulative attendees across 50+ countries. Now operating as a full social infrastructure — events, MICE, talent networks, and community support — toward a better, more inclusive Korea.
GIRR is a social infrastructure dedicated to helping foreigners build meaningful lives in Korea. Through carefully curated events and MICE experiences, we bridge cultures, foster genuine belonging, and strive toward a more inclusive and vibrant Korean society.
When people from around the world feel truly at home in Korea, everyone benefits — communities grow stronger, ideas flow more freely, and the future becomes brighter for all.
We take foreigners on unforgettable journeys across Korea — from riverside twilight walks to traditional cultural festivals. Every tour is a chance to make Korea feel like home.
GIRR actively participates in and facilitates major MICE events — conferences, commemorative ceremonies, and government forums — to build stronger bridges between the foreign community and Korean society.
